Constitution of MBOCWWB

The Government of Meghalaya constituted The Meghalaya Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board under Section 18 (1) of the Building & Other Construction Workers (RE&CS) Act, 1996 with the following members:-
(a) A person nominated by the Government - Chairman
(b) Two persons representing the State Government
(i) Principal Secretary to Government, LET&F Department - Ex-Officio Member
(ii) Commissioner of Labour - Member-Convenor
(c) Two persons representing the employers - Member
(in consultation with the Organisations of the employers functioning in Meghalaya)
(d) Two persons representing the building workers - Member (in consultation with the Organisations of the employees functioning in Meghalaya)
(e) One officer from Central Government; - Member
I. Provided that at least one member of the board shall be a woman.
II. The term of the Board shall be three years from the date of publication in the Meghalaya Gazette.
