Eligibiliy for Pension
A member of the fund who has been working as a building worker for not less than one year after the commencement of these rules shall on completion of sixty years of age be eligible for person. The Pension will become payable from the sixty years of the succeeding to the month in which he completed 60 years of age.
Procedure of Payment of Pension
- An Application for pension shall be submitted in Form No. XXXIV to the Secretary of the BOARD or the Officer authorized by him for the purpose
- If in the opinion of the Secretary of the BOARD or the Officer authorized by him, the applicant is eligible for pension he shall sanction pension and send the pension sanctioning order to the applicant:
Provided that no application shall be rejected unless the applicant has been given an opportunity of being heard - If it is found that the applicant is not eligible for pension, the applicant shall be rejected and the applicant informed accordingly
- The application may file appeal before the BOARD against decision taken under sub-rule(3) within 60 days from the date of the receipt of the order. However, the BOARD may for sufficient reason in writing, condone the delay upto one year in filling the appeal
- The amount of pension shall be Rs. 150 per mensem. An increase of Rs. 10 shall be given for every completed year of service beyond 5 years. The BOARD may, with the previous approval of the Government, revise the pension
- The Pension sanctioning authority shall maintain a register in Form No. XXXV
